DJ EnC, (AKA DJ Hi'Dup) has been spinning records continuously since the fall of 1997; starting out with a focus primarily on various schools of house music he quickly expanded his horizons to include jungle, drum and bass, ambient breaks, and myriad other forms of electronica. His unique style and ability to find the more enchanting loops and samples out there keep the listener dancing while providing a surprising amount of melodic interplay often considered rare in the genre of electronic music and electronica.
Along with his penchant for mixing beats he has a mind-boggling array of just about any other music you can imagine - from the most well known pop available -- new and old -- to the most obscure music ever made. He's the only person who can take a John Cage track, meld it seamlessly into "Ooops, I did it Again," segue into some Gong, and round it off with "Taxman" without bringing the party to a jolting halt at any point. His style is so eclectic and inspired that it always sounds like he's improvising even when spinning pre-recorded tracks. This is likely the result of the bands he has been in over the years, including the fearless, experimental Serious Lee, in which he played percussion and spun beats and ambiance -- and most recently the up-and-coming act HeadyBros for which he has started producing his own drum and bass tracks.
